The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a federal programme designed to help residents with low or modest income access affordable dental services through participating providers.

Many people find the process unclear or confusing, especially if it’s their first time interacting with a government programme.

Eligibility

Who May Be Eligible?

You may qualify if you meet these criteria:

  • You do not have dental insurance through an employer, group plan or private provider
  • You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes
  • You have filed your most recent tax return
  • Your adjusted family net income falls within CDCP thresholds
  • You are 18 or older, or preparing a request on behalf of your child/dependant

As a matter of our own service policy, our CDCP assistance service is currently available only to residents of Canadian provinces other than Quebec. Final eligibility for the CDCP is determined exclusively by the Government of Canada.
